Tax benefits

Tax breaks for individuals

  • Cash and in-kind donations are deductible at 35%, up to a maximum of €30,000 for each tax period;
  • alternatively, cash or in-kind donations are deductible up to 10% of the total declared income.

Tax breaks for companies and organizations

  • Cash and in-kind donations are deductible up to 10% of the total declared income, and the €70,000 annual limit has been removed.
  • If the deduction exceeds the total declared net income, the excess can be deducted up to the fourth subsequent tax period.

These provisions, contained in the Third Sector Code, are applicable from January 1, 2018 for volunteer organizations like ours.
