Every year on the 20th June all the world celebrates the Refugee Day to commemorate the approval of the Convention on the status of Refugee in the United Nation Assembly, in Geneva, in 1951.

This anniversary means a lot to Popoli Insieme, because it states at an international and legal level that a person has the right to seek for asylum in another country and there find reception, when its life and freedom are threatened or endangered in their land.

In the last years with the Municipality of Padua we organized several events for this special recurrency with the aim to raise awareness among the citizens about asylum right and reception of refugees. We do it through cinema nights, concerts, meeting, lectures and witnesses.
