PATHS FOR TRANSVERSAL SKILLS AND ORIENTATION
Since they were introduced, alternating school-work programs (now training for transversal skills and orientation) have been part of our Association. This experience at an association like ours aims to offer an opportunity for personal and professional growth for the young person who comes into contact with approaches based on “becoming responsible” and “collaborative” models. The objectives of the alternating school-work programs in Popoli Insieme include: favoring the insertion of young people in third sector organizations, increasing the students’ work opportunities and orientation skills, favoring the acquisition of transversal skills, building relationships in a context different to school, working on projects (for example, managing time and activities in order to reach pre-set goals, identifying and strengthening individual aptitudes, using different languages based on the context they are in).
